At The Palapa RV Beach Resort, Texas we take pride in offering our residents the very best in customer service and will do everything possible to make your stay on the Bolivar Peninsula a memorable one.

Our RV park on Bolivar Beach is situated on 46 acres located at 731 Texas 87, approximately five miles East of Crystal Beach, Texas.

Located between Crystal Beach, Texas, and Rollover Pass, our Texas Gulf Coast RV Park provides easy access to all recreational opportunities and businesses in the local community.

Our property is on both the bay and beach sides of Hwy 87, so your stay includes access to the Texas Gulf Waterfront. Enjoy our concrete trail to the beach with no trail fees for Golf Carts, UTVs, or ATVs.

Our location

The Palapa RV Beach Resort is located on 46 acres between Crystal Beach, Texas, and Rollover Pass, one of the local fishing hot spots that does not require a boat.

The park has property on both the Beach and Bay Sides of Highway 87 for unlimited relaxation and direct water access.

The Palapa RV Beach Resort offers a private beach golf cart path from our park directly to the beach. Bring your golf cart with you, or rent one from our office on arrival.

Beach Front property on the Bolivar Peninsula, our RV park in Gilchrist, TX is located 15 miles from the Bolivar Ferry Landing between Crystal Beach and Rollover Pass.

The ONLY reason I am not giving a 5 star is the fact that the laundry only has two washers and two dryers. Residential units so it takes double the time to do your laundry. A resident was already there when I arrived so I had to wait for her to free up. She was also doing bedding that was taking longer to dry. We rented a golf cart our last day there and drove up and down the beach. That was great. The sites were nice and paved. I thought the totem poles and palm trees were a nice touch in between each site until we were trying to back in, made it a bit tight, but we made it. Mel was very nice and accommodating. We have never stayed on the Texas Gulf Coast before. You have to ride the ferry to get to Galveston. Go early as the ferry line backs up. We got there at 12:30 pm and waited an hour and a half to board a ferry. Coming back is not that kind of wait.
